Georgia Tech Faculty Women's Club Scholarship Program

The GTFWC Scholarship Program is pleased to award scholarships to deserving GT undergraduates who have a parent or guardian working at Georgia Tech, the children of our Georgia Tech “family”. To date, 133 scholarships have been awarded totaling $96,050 over 21 years.

In the earliest years, members creatively generated dollars through yard sales and bake sales, but soon two funds were established with the GT Foundation.  The GTFWC Scholarship Fund collected donations to be disbursed in the same year and the GTFWC Scholarship Endowment Fund was established to generate earnings. In 2010, the balance of the GTFWC Scholarship Fund was transferred to the GTFWC Endowment Fund which continues to accept donations. Currently $7500 is funded in scholarships annually by the income allocation generated from the Endowment. Each August, the Foundation transfers the scholarship funds to the GT Financial Aid Office for disbursement to recipients for tuition, fees, books, room and board - any legitimate GT expense.
